A Bible story told for little ears! Uncle Ricky, Biscuit, and Olive tell the story of Noah’s ark, a brave little dove, three trips out the window, and a rainbow promise from God. RICKY: Well, hello there, little friends! Welcome to Bible study on the porch. I’m Uncle Ricky, and today we have a story about a boat, a flood, and a little white dove. Biscuit, Olive — say hello!
BISCUIT: Hello! I’m Biscuit, and I helped build the ark. Well… I watched.
OLIVE: And I’m Olive! And this story is about ME! Well, a dove just like me.
RICKY: That’s right. A long time ago, God told Noah to build a big, big boat called an ark. Noah and his family got in, and all the animals got in too, two by two. Then it rained and rained and rained.
OLIVE: Did it rain a LONG time, Uncle Ricky?
RICKY: It sure did, sweet girl. The water covered everything. But the Bible says something wonderful: “And God remembered Noah.” God never, ever forgot Noah. And God never forgets you either.
BISCUIT: Then what happened? Tell the exciting part!
RICKY: Well, Noah opened the window of the ark and sent out a dove — a dove just like Olive — to look for dry land. Everybody count with me. Trip number one: the dove flew all around… but there was water everywhere, and no place to land. So she flew right back to Noah, and Noah reached out his hand and pulled her in safe.
OLIVE: He was gentle with her.
RICKY: He was. Then Noah waited seven whole days, and sent her out again. Trip number two! And this time, friends — she came back carrying something green in her beak. Can you guess what it was?
BISCUIT: A sandwich!
OLIVE: Biscuit! It was an olive leaf! From an olive tree! Just like my name!
RICKY: That’s right, Olive! A little green leaf. That leaf meant the water was going down, and dry land was coming. It was God’s way of saying, “It’s almost time.” Then Noah waited seven more days and sent her out one more time. Trip number three! And that time she didn’t come back at all — because she had found a home in the brand-new world God made.
BISCUIT: Three trips! I counted them all by myself.
RICKY: You did good, Biscuit. And when Noah and his family finally came out of the ark, God put a rainbow in the sky and made a promise to never flood the whole earth again. The Bible says God said, “I do set my bow in the cloud.” That’s the rainbow, friends — and every time you see one, you can remember: God always keeps His promises.
OLIVE: And He never forgets us. Not ever.
RICKY: Not ever. That’s our story, little friends. Thanks for listening — and remember, God remembers YOU.
